At the entrance of the municipality of Kontich, at the corner of Antwerpsesteenweg and Koningin Astridlaan, the real estate experts of habicom are preparing their first digital real estate shop. In early 2023, they will move into residence Gonthier together with Hypotheekwinkel Kontich. The construction works for this are in full swing.
‘It will be the first digitized office of habicom’, confirms Naranjo Decamps, director of habicom. ‘This is our pilot project and unique in Flanders. Afterwards, we will turn our 6 real estate offices into digital real estate shops. Away with paper brochures and as many moving images as possible so that during a visit to our office you can view not just one but multiple properties at the same time’, says Naranjo.
‘In 2023, our new digital habicom real estate shop will open, and you will even be able to shop for houses & apartments at habicom from the parking lot of Delhaize and Aldi (across the street). How are we going to achieve this? Our shop window will become one large moving image, through the use of a transparent LED screen. We will collaborate with the only distributor of this type of screens in Belgium. I got the idea from New York. From the outside, you can view your new home. From the inside, you simply look through the screen to the outside. Truly unique!’
‘Moving images will attract the attention of passersby and show them a selection of our housing and apartment offerings’, Naranjo further explains, ‘But we are going a step further. The digitalization will also continue inside our office. On a wall with moving images, you will find an overview of all the municipalities where we are active. In each municipality, there will be a screen where you can view all the listings from that municipality. Maybe I - a little bit - was inspired by the supermarkets across the street. From 2023, you can come to us, quite literally, to shop for your new home’, Naranjo laughs.
